If you have the guts to launch yourself to NYC to be an artist, Nerve Project Theatre Company has the guts to help you Land. Think of this as “All the Things I wish I had known the Day I moved to NY” workshop, with hard earned knowledge from a panel of 6 working artists living in the city today. Want to know about Equity? Agents? Insurance? Auditions? Day Jobs? How to ride the subway? How to get a headshot in a pinch? Where to take class? Balling on a budget? Think of this as 101 to city living, your chance to ask questions and network with like minded artists in a safe space.
Full Workshop curriculum includes:
- Creative Living 101: Day jobs, Auditions union and non union, Subway 101, Where to take class (film, dance, and voice), How to attend shows for cheap, and Networking 101,
- Creative Business 101: Agents, Health Insurance, Taxes, Financial Planning and Budgeting, Social Media, Equity, Headshots, Subletting,
- Creative Action 101: cabarets, festivals, showcases, improv troops, Book Maintenance, working when you’re not working.
